The broadcast order didn’t match the concert order – this is the broadcast order…
Peter Opened the broadcast of the concert with:
Washing of the Water, followed by Father, Son, accompanying himself on keyboard.
Mandela addressed the crowd, proclaiming Tromso as the first Ambassador City, and proclaimed them all as Africans.
Robert Plant and the Strange Sensation performed No Quarter, and Shine it all Around. (sans David R- I like his rendition better.. heh.)
They did another song I have no idea what it was since the commentators were talking all through it. Then he did The Enchanter, with a follow up of Whole Lotta Love, and some of Ian Reith’s signature graphics appeared in the beginning.. (Ian was the lighting designer for the show)
This was followed by interviews with Peter and with Robert Plant about the campaign. Peter was asked where his concern for this cause came from, and Peter stated it was the education he received on the Human Rights Amnesty tours, meeting people who were tortured and imprisoned. Peter indicated it was possible to make a difference.
The stylish and fun Makifizolo then performed, quite lovely songs!

Then, Anneli and her Frolics were shown, in fact she was the first band on stage at the 46664-concert.

[I missed the band’s name here… anyone?]
Saybia was shown as well, with a great sound.

[At this point the broadcast got very odd and surreal – The cameras were running on the commentators during their break!]
Ane Brun sang The Fight Song – a very appropriate choice for this concert – very soulful, and very indicative of The Fight ahead.

Angelique Kidjo was then interviewed, and she stressed not only the impact on Africa, but that this is a world problem.

And then, Annie Lennox! sang Redemption Song and Sweet Dreams.

Brian May and Jivan Gasparyan performed music from the movie Gladiator.

THEN PETER AGAIN, with Brian May and Jivan Gasparyan, performing The Feeling Begins. Amazing rendition….
Lisa Stokke, Tromso native and alumnus of Mamma Mia, then performed Dancing Queen. (which provided quite a whiplash after The Feeling Begins!).
Zuccero followed with his blues stylings in Everybody’s Got to Love Sometime, accompanied by Brian May. Then he treated the crowd to Cosi Celeste and Senza una donna – beautiful songs…[darnit, another cd to buy, another artist to obsess over….]

Sharon Corr then performed solo – great artist!

Then Angelique Kidjo performed solo, then with some of the other ladies of that night’s show. Very cool!!!
Annie Lennox was interviewed about 46664, and the effort to bring this message about stopping HIV/AIDS throughout the world.
A wonderful Norwegian Choir came on and had a great time with great rhythms – the Sami Choir.
Then Johnny Clegg was interviewed, and his performance followed on the broadcast with his great brand of South African swing. [I believe I saw some Ianisms in the background video with the second song…]

Peter came back again to join Johnny Clegg in an anthem Clegg wrote to the Mandela he never saw or heard growing up in South Africa – and all the artists joined in at the end for the finale.
And then as the credits rolled, the name of Solsburian and founder of the Come Talk to Me website, composer of Moments of Grace, and lighting designer IAN REITH came rolling by, and I could say "He picked me up at the airport and took me to my hotel!!!". But I didn’t. I said, bittersweet, "I KNOW HIM!" and wished so that I had been there……especially when Ian met Peter in the elevator, and was able to give Peter his CD!
